Article 114 Examination by the European Patent Office of its own motion						Guidelines D V 2.2

(1) In proceedings before it, the European Patent Office shall examine the facts of its own motion; it shall not be restricted in this examination to the facts, evidence and arguments provided by the parties and the relief sought.					- CBA III.N.3.2 - CBA III.N.3.3 - CBA IV.E.6.3.1	E V 1.1

(2) The European Patent Office may disregard facts or evidence which are not submitted in due time by the parties concerned.						E V 2.
